Our History:
Our organization is committed to serving the faithful servants of our Hawaiian Community. Our mission is to bring the Faith-Based community and our community service organizations together to uplift our community, and work towards a greater good. In these pressing economic times we are tireless in our efforts to feed the hungry and clothe the poor and help those seeking needing a hand up. Our faith-based committee simply seeks to serve the people of Hawaii.
We provide a forum for the community service agencies and faith-based organizations to partner and develop creative strategies to service the needs of families in Hawaii. For example;
Our T-SOCS Committee members of non-profit organizations, agencies and church representatives meet once a month.
The concept of this Committee came from years of working with the community and church. It was impressed upon our hearts that organizations and churches were both struggling to provide services to Hawaii. Our vision is to facilitate a prayerful effort of coming together with an open mind which will improve our ability to provide outreach to the community.
This concept was shared with church leaders, neighborhood service providers and Lt. Governor James "Duke" Aiona, along with others in city/state government, they encouraged us to pursue our vision. From this, we started networking with neighborhood organizations and church leaders in the community; they agreed and the T-SOCS Committee was formed in 2007. The first annual conference officially began our journey to "A Partnership of Compassion for "THE COMMUNITY."
Our T-SOCS committee membership is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able to accomplish more by having a larger impact on our community.
